10+4=7x
14=7x
14/7=7x/7
2=x

Answer:
x = 2

Explanation:


10 = 7x - 4

Add 4 to both sides


10 + 4 = 7x - 4 + 4


14 = 7x

Divide through by 7


(14)/(7)=(7x)/(7)


2 = x

Therefore :


x = 2
