Therefore, the perimeter (p)of the rectangle, = 12x + 10.

If P = 12x + 10

12x = P - 10

x = ( P - 10 )/12

Area of a rectangle = L x B

=( 4x + 1 )( 2x + 5)

We therefore open the brackets

(4x + 1)(2x + 5)= 4x X 2x + 4x X 5+ 1 X 2x + 1 X 5

= 8x² + 20x + 2x + 5

A = 8x² + 22x + 5
