Find the total surface area of a

rectangular prism that has the
dimensions 4 cm x 6 cm x 8cm.

Answer:

4 × 6 =10 cm

10cm × 8cm = 80cm

Side of rectangle = 4

80 CM /4

=20 CM

1st side------------20cm--------------

2nd side = -------------------20cm---------------

3rd side= ------------------20cm--------------------

4th CM = ---------------------------20cm-----------------

20×4side

=80 CM

Answer: 240 cm2


4cm x 6cm= 24cm2 but because there is a top and a bottom, 48cm2
8cm x 6cm= 48cm2 but because there is 4 sides, 192cm2
48cm2 + 192cm2= 240cm2
