Therefore either
x = (-3+√(17))/(2) or,
x = (-3-√(17))/(2)

Explanation:

3x^2 +9x -6=0
x = (-b\pm√(b^2- 4ac) )/(2a)

\Leftrightarrow x = (-9\pm√(9^2- 4.3(-6)) )/(2.3) here a = 3 ,b = 9 and c= -6

\Leftrightarrow x = (-9\pm√(153) )/(6)

\Leftrightarrow x = (3(-3\pm√(17)) )/(6)

\Leftrightarrow x = (-3\pm√(17))/(2)

Therefore either
x = (-3+√(17))/(2) or,
x = (-3-√(17))/(2)
