Two vessels are labeled A and B. Bessel A contains NH3 gas at 68 C, and vessel B contains Ne gas at the same temperature. If the average kinetic energy of NH3 is 7.1 x 10^-21 J / molecule at 70 C, calculate the root-mean-square speed of Ne atoms in m/s.

My main problem is in converting the average kinetic energy of NH3 at 70 C to average kinetic energy of NH3 at 68 C?

Answer:

Root mean square speed = 649.205m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

The root mean square speed shows the connection between the average kinetic energy of molecules and the gas temperature. it is derived from the ideal gas equation and the average kinetic energy. Vrms = square root ( 3RT/M).

The detailed explanation is as shown in the attachment
