No it is not a right triangle. It is an acute isosceles triangle.

In order to find whether or not side lengths will form a right triangle, you must use the pythagorean theorem.


12^(2) + 12^(2) = c^(2)

Calculate square roots and add

144 + 144 = 288

Than square root that number


√(288) = 16.970

Due to the answer not being of equivalent to 15, the side lengths do not produce a triangle
