Answer:

a.) The dilation is a contraction

b.) The scale factor is
(6)/(8) = (3)/(4) = 0.75 which is less than 1

c.)
(TA)/(TR) = (3.33)/(TR) = 0.75 \hspace{0.2cm} \Rightarrow \hspace{0.2cm} TR = (3.3)/(0.75) \hspace{0.2cm} \Rightarrow \hspace{0.2cm} TR = 4.4 cm.

\therefore TR = TA + AR \hspace{0.2cm} \Rightarrow \hspace{0.2cm} AR = 4.4 - 3.3 = 1.1 cm

d.)
(TN)/(TI) = (TN)/(TN + 1.6) = 0.75 \hspace{0.1cm} \Rightarrow \hspace{0.1cm} 1.33TN = TN + 1.6 \hspace{0.1cm} \Rightarrow \hspace{0.1cm} 0.33TN = 1.6 cm. \hspace{0.1cm}

Therefore TN = 4.8 cm
