Answer: Teratogens

Explanation: The environmental influence is called teratogens. Whereas the scientific study of effects of teratogens on human is called Teratology.

Examples of teratogens include maternal infections, radiation, chemicals, and drugs.

However, teratogen is an agent that can alter the development of a developing embryo or fetus in the womb, which in turn results into spontaneous abortion, mutagenesis (i.e. change in the genetic sequence) or other negative effects.
