A giraffe runs at a rate of 32 miles per hour. Which equation models the situation?

h = time spent running, in hours
d = distance run in miles
32h = d
32d = h
h = 32 + d
h = 32 – d

*Whenever a questions asks about “rate”, time should always be the denominator*
Think also about the speed = distance / time equation
In this case rate basically means speed
Answer: 32h = d because when you rearrange you will get d/h = 32 where distance over hours = speed which in this case is 32 mph
