B- this is wrong because not only does storing medication in the bathroom break down the integrity of it, it is also unsafe for children or anyone who may be confused. Medications are recommended to be kept in a lockbox for this case, or in a personal, safe, space where it can be self monitored.

"I will make sure to store the medications in the bathroom medicine chest."

Storage in the bathroom, which is hot and humid, may cause drugs to break down faster. Drugs should be stored in a cool, dry place. The client should keep a list of all drugs taken, including prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal preparations. The client should know and follow the directions for taking the drug to ensure the maximum effectiveness. The client should understand what each drug is being used to treat to ensure a better understanding of what to report, what to watch for, and when to report signs.
