Therefore Tahlia made mistake. Tahlia did not write -6 in her equation.

Explanation:

Given , line n passes through the points (-3,-7.5) and (2,-5)

x_1 = -3 , y_1=-7.5 and
x_2 = 2 , y_2=-5

Therefore the slope of the line is (m)
=(y_1-y_2)/(x_2-x_1)

=(-7.5+5)/(2+3)

=(2.5)/(5)
=(1)/(2)

Therefore the equation of line is

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

\Leftrightarrow y+7.5 =(1)/(2)(x+3)

\Leftrightarrow y+7.5 = 0.5x+1.5

\Leftrightarrow y = 0.5x+1.5 -7.5

\Leftrightarrow y = 0.5x -6

Therefore Tahlia made mistake. Tahlia did not write -6 in her equation.
