This is also the case with single-parent households. The number of single-parent households is growing as a result of divorces. Meanwhile, many women have decided to adopt children by themselves and raise them in a single-parent household. The pattern of children per household is decreasing because my adults do not see the need and are content with one child which means they are still able to pursue the things that matter to them such as a career or hobbies. These statistics show that the family patterns in the United States are changing, but the consequences of them we do not know yet.
