The Adams–Onís Treaty:

The Adams Onís Treaty was otherwise called the Transcontinental Treaty, the Florida Purchase Treaty, or the Florida Treaty, was a settlement between the United States and Spain in 1819 that surrendered Florida to the U.S. and characterized the limit between the U.S. and New Spain.

The Adams-Onis Treaty was an understanding between the United States and Spain marked in 1819 which built up the southern fringe of the Louisiana Purchase. As a feature of the understanding, the United States got the region of present-day Florida. The most huge component of the arrangement was Adams' request that the limit is reached out to the Pacific.
