Using distributive property, factor out the coomon term to get the equivalent expression

Solution:

Let us first understand about distributive property

The distributive property lets you multiply a sum by multiplying each addend separately and then add the products.

The distributive property can be represented as:

a(b + c) = ab + bc

Let us consider a expression

30 + 5x

We have to write a equivalent expression

Use the distributive property

30 = 6 x 5

Thus 30 + 5x becomes,

30 + 5x = 6 * 5 + 5x

Factor out 5 from above expression

30 + 5x = 6 * 5 + 5x = 5(6+x)

Thus, equivalent expression is 5(6 + x) for 30 + 5x
