The system of equations has no solution.

Solution:

Given expression –x + 5y = 5 and x – 5y = 5.

–x + 5y = 5 – – – – (1)

x – 5y = 5 – – – – (2)

Adding (1) and (2), we get

–x + 5y + x – 5y = 5 + 5

Combine like terms together.

(–x + x) + (5y – 5y) = 5 + 5

0 + 0 = 25

There is no x-term and y-term in Left hand side.

So, the system of equations has no solution.
