Therefore,

AB/DB = GB/EB = AG/DE

AB = 5 + 6 = 11

GB = 9 + x

Therefore,

11/6 = (9 + x)/9

Cross multiplying, it becomes

11 × 9 = 6(9 + x)

99 = 54 + 6x

Subtracting 54 from the Left hand side and the right hand side of the equation, it becomes

54 - 54 + 6x = 99 - 54

6x = 45

Dividing the Left hand side and the right hand side of the equation by 6, it becomes

6x/6 = 45/6

x = 7.5
