Some writers love to describe things that actually happened to them. They take personal events and moments from their lives and create a compelling narrative.

However, I’m not that kind of writer. I’ve always preferred to make things up with my imagination and create totally fictitious worlds. My characters are nothing like the people I know in real life.

Based on the context clues in the paragraphs, what does the word "fictitious” mean?
