∠x = 80°

∠y = 140°

∠z = 20°

Explanation:

  • the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180°
  • the measure of third angle = the sum of the interior angles - the sum of two angles

x = 180 - (60 + 40) = 80

∠x = 80°

  • the measure of 40 and ∠y are on the straight line and they are both equal 180°

then to find the value of y = 180 - 40

y = 180 - 40 = 140

∠y = 140°

z = 180 - (140 + 20) = 20

∠z = 20°
