∴ Therefore the area of non shaded =
9(\pi -1) square units

Explanation:

Given , the diameter of the circle is 6 units

radius
= (diameter)/(2) = 3 units

The height of the triangle = the radius of the circle = 3 units

And the base of the triangle = 6 units

∴the area of the circle =
\pi r^2 =
\pi 3^2 square units =
9 \pi square units

∴The area of the triangle
=(1)/(2) * base * height

=
\frac {1}{2} * 6* 3 square units

= 9 square units

∴ Therefore the area of non shaded =(
9 \pi-9) square units

=
9(\pi -1) square units
