The following were the eastern, western, and northern boundaries of Egypt as recognized from various historical pieces of evidence:
Eastern boundary:
The eastern boundary extended up to the western part of the Dead Sea. The cities further north and south that Egypt shared its borders with were Damascus and Kadesh.
Western boundary:
The western boundary was form by an adjacency with the Mediterranean Sea. The cities situated on the coast included Tyre, Sidon, Byblos, and Gaza.
Northern boundary:
The northernmost boundary was the city of Carchemish above Damascus in Syria.
