Therefore x=2 and y= 1

Explanation:

Given equations are

y = 6x -11 and
-2x -3y = -7.........(2)

y - 6x = -11.......(1)

Equation (2)× 3 - Equation (1)

-6x -9y -(y-6x) = -21 -(-11)

-6x -9y-y+6x=-21+11

⇔-10y = -10

⇔y=1

Putting the value of y in equation (1) we get

1 = 6x -11

⇔x =2

Therefore x=2 and y= 1
