Harun is designing a room addition for a home and wants a rectangular window with area that is more than 12 square feet but not more than 24 square feet. Harun knows he wants the window to be 4 feet wide. Find an inequality to find the length for x.

The area of the window is to be within the range of 12 and 24 feet square.

From calculating area of rectangles: Length * width

width = 4 ft

length = x

for an area greater than 12, the length has to be greater than 3,

area = 4 * 3.5 = 14ft sq

for an area not more than 24, the length should not be more than 6

area = 4 * 6 = 24ft sq
