Answer:

Mito can bake 3 batches of cookies.

The amount of flour used to bake cookies = Total flour used - Amount of flour used to coven counter top.

Explanation:

Here, the amount of flour used to coat counter top and rolling pin = 1/4 cup

1/4 cup = 0.25 cup

Now, the amount of cup used to bake 1 batch of cookies = 2 1/2 cup

Now, 2 1/2 cup = ( 2 + 1/2 )cup = 2 + 0.5 = 2.5 cup

So, 1 batch of cookies = 2.5 cup

Total amount of flour used = 7 3/4 cups

Now, 7 3/4 cup = (7 + 3/4) cup = 7 + 0.75 = 7.75 cups

The actual amount of flour used to bake cookies

= Total flour used - Amount of flour used to coven counter top.

= 7.75 cup - 0.25 cup = 7.5 cup

Now, the number of batches baked with 7.5 cup
= \frac{\textrm{Total amount of flour used in baking}}{\textrm{Flour used in 1 batch}}

= (7.5)/(2.5) = 3

or, the number of batches baked with 7.5 cup is 3 batches.

Hence, Mito can bake 3 batches of cookies.
