Answer: 13.2 grams .

Explanation:

We are given that ,

In nuclear fusion, about 0.60% of the mass of the fusing substances is converted to energy.

When 22 kilograms of substance undergoes fusion , then the mass of the fusing substances is converted to energy. = 0.06% of (22 kilograms)

Convert % into decimal by dividing it by 100 and replace 'of ' by multiplication operator (x) , we get

Mass of the fusing substances is converted to energy. =
(0.06)/(100)*22=0.0132\ kg

Since 1 kilogram = 1000 grams.

Therefore , Mass of the fusing substances is converted to energy. =
0.0132*1000 =13.2\ g

Hence, 13.2 grams of mass is converted into energy when 22 kilograms of substance undergoes fusion.
