A. Read the two paragraphs below about three disasters in Valdivia, Chile, from the
reading in your textbook. Then answer the questions that follow.
A los seis y dos minutos de la mañana, el 21 de mayo de 1960, una gran
parte del pais sintió el primer terremoto. El próximo dia, el 22 de mayo
a las tres y diez de la tarde, otro terremoto más intenso.. ocurrió.
Unos minutos después del desastroso terremoto, llegó un tsunami que
destruyó lo poco que quedaba en la ciudad y en las pequeñas
comunidades. Lo gran ola de agua se levantó destruyendo a su paso
cosas, animales, botes y, por supuesto, muchas vidas humanas.
