Answer:
the answer is 12 and 52
Explanation:
take 64 - 16 = 48 (to find 4 units; 1 unit is the smaller and three units is the larger)
4u = 48 so 1u = 12
the smaller number is then = 12
to find the larger number, take 12 x 3 + 16 = 52
to check, 52 + 12 = 64
