Answer:

y intercept=
(-(17)/(3),0)

x intercept=
(0,17)

Explanation:

We have the following Line equation:

y-2=3(x+5)

x intercpet:

If we want to find the x intercept (the point where the line crosses with the x-axis), we have to set
y=0:

0-2=3(x+5)

Isolating
x:

-2=3x+15

x=-(17)/(3)

Hence, the x-intercept point is
(-(17)/(3),0)

y intercept:

If we want to find the y intercept (the point where the line crosses with the y-axis), we have to set
x=0:

y-2=3(0+5)

Isolating
y:

y=17

Hence, the x-intercept point is
(0,17)
