the answer is 2. you need to try and get x by itself subtract the 4 sticking onto it. What you do to one side you have to do to the other so now you have 6x=12 now that’s just saying 6 times X is 12 so divide 6 by 12 and your answer is 2

Answer:

Explanation:

Remark

The first step is the key step. You have to get the xs on one side and the numbers on the other.

Solution

4 + 6x = 16 Subtract 4 from both sides

4-4+6x = 16 - 4 Combine

6x = 12 Divide both sides by 6. You want x by itself.

6x/6 = 12/6

Answer: x = 2
