How do the winds and the ocean distribute heat throughout the biosphere?

Answer:

Oceans capture a lot of heat from the sun than land. This is because water has a very high heat capacity. This heat becomes distributed across the globe through oceans currents. The water vapor that evaporates from the oceans heats up the atmosphere creating low-pressure systems. These create winds that blow up the heat and moisture over land creating rain/precipitation. This influences climatic systems across the globe.
