Answer:

For the smaller rectangle: 9 x 19.8 = 178.2

For the bigger rectangle: 27 x 10.8 = 291.6

Find the area of the shaded rectangle and then the second. Subtract them from eachither giving you the proper area of the shade grey rectangle
