Scientifc notation is used to make very large decimal number less longer.
so, an example
0.0043, quite a long decimal, right?
You need to create a number through 1-10. so would be to move 3 places
4.3,
Since the spaces we took where 3
we have a 10 with the expoent of negative 3. This is so if you do the problem it will go back to it's orgnally state the decimal was at. ( so you'll know if you did something wrong)
so if should look like this but almost,
=4.3x10(noted there is an -3 exponet on 10)
