Given that we have to write the equation of the line that has a slope of -3 and goes through the point (-5, 6) in point-slope form

The equation of line in point slope form is given as:


y - y_1=m(x-x_1)

Where, "m" is the slope of line

Here in this sum,

slope = m = -3


(x_1, y_1) = (-5, 6)

Substituting the values in formula we get,


y - 6 = -3(x-(-5))\\\\y-6=-3(x+5)

Thus the equation of line in point slope form is found
