To find the slope, use the slope(m) formula:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) and plug in the two points

(0, 5) = (x₁, y₁)

(-9, -4) = (x₂, y₂)

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

m=(-4-5)/(-9-0)

m=(-9)/(-9) [two negatives cancel each other out and become positive]

m = 1 The slope is 1
