Now, the base angles of an isoceles triangle are equal and applying this theorem to this problem, we have:

50 = 2x

solving for x,

x = 25

Now the sum of angles in a triangle is 180 degrees

=> 50 + 50 + 5y + 10 = 180

5y = 180 - 110

5y = 70

y = 14
