Why do bird embryos have gill slits?

(I’m confused, I think it has something to do with the evolution...)

Step-by-step explanation:

bird embryos have gill slits because, yes, of evolution. These slits are found in the embryos of all vertebrates because they share as common ancestors the fish in which these structures first evolved. even human beings have gill slits as embryos that disappear before birth.
