Education system in India is a vast topic and for a 1 minute speech, one or two perspectives from which the main topic can be looked at can be chosen. For example:
1) A factual description of the structure of the system (various levels and types of education) can be presented, including number of years each level requires, subjects available, and teaching methodologies implemented in each of them. This could also include a description of vocational learning, distance learning, e-learning opportunities available, etc.
2) The presentation could also trace the evolution of the education system in India from ancient times to the contemporary scenario, including effects of colonial interventions, new education policies, to talk of privatisation of education.
3) It could also briefly summarise the first point and then highlight some of the lesser known approaches to education available in different parts of India that don’t comply with the mainstream educational system. This presentation can be divided into two parts- first dealing with the mainstream approach and the second dealing with other approaches.
Since the time limit is only one minute, one structure that the presentation could follow could be:
Introduction of the perspective/s chosen and giving an outline of the sub topics covered.
Subtopic 1:
Subtopic 2:
Subtopic 3 (if time permits):
Concluding statement: An opinion, a suggestion, or a subjective or objective analysis of the topic chosen in one or two statements.
However, there are many other ways to present a topic: through a story, an anecdote, a question-answer method, whichever approach appeals to you the most. You could even invent an altogether new approach to present the topic.
