He was a great revolutionary fighter in Mexico. He led a peasant revolution in the state of Morelos, and was the main inspiration behind the revolutionary nationalist agrarian movement that grew after him. A brave patriot, he is remembered as a hero amongst his people for his unending struggle to liberate the peasant farmers of Mexico. His contribution was his brave organizing skills and well-trained army during the Mexican Revolution, in which he was a military leader. Sadly, he was eventually treacherously killed, alongside revolutionary leader Pancho Villa.
