6x-5y=22

1.) factor the y into the equation So it’ll be 6x-5(-8)=22

2. Solve the equation of -5*-8 = 40

3. The new equation is 6x+40=22

4. Subtract from both sides 22-40 = -18

5. The new equation is 6x=-18

6. Now we have to get x by itself to find its value, so divide by 6 on both sides. 6x/6 = x
And -18/6 = -3

So the value of x is -3

Just plug it in
So -5 times times -8 = positive 40 so
6x +40 =22
No it’s just an easy equation
22-40= -18
-18 divided by 6 = -3
So x = - 3
Your x,y coordinates are
(-3,-8)
