So we can say that;

Area of living room is equal to length of the living room times width of the living room.

framing in equation form we get;


l* w=360\\\\l*(5)/(8)l=360\\\\(5)/(8)l^2=360

Now Multiplying both side by
(8)/(5) we get;


(5)/(8)l^2*(8)/(5)=360*(8)/(5)\\\\l^2= 576

Taking square root on both side we get;


√(l^2) =√(576) \\\\l=24 \ ft

Hence Length of the living room is 24 feet.
