As a result, many parents are now sacrificing their work time to teach their kids and possibly quitting their jobs . If they aren't working at all, their direct contribution of human capital would reduce hence decreasing the GDP. On the other hand, some parents may opt to working from home like working on a side hustle while taking time to teach their kids. This could increase the GDP.
