The social, political, and economic rights of women were limited in the early 1800s as:

The American revolution, also known as the American civil war was not only for the freedom of the blacks who were oppressed by the whites, but for also for the equality of the women.

This period in the United States of America witnessed a lot of women setting up organizations which primarily focused on social work. A lot of such organizations ran welfare organizations which aimed at providing education and refugee camps for those who were affected by the war.
