Brandon bought hot peppers to sell in the market.

He bought 8 bags with 60 pepper in each.
He paid $0.25 for one pepper.
When brandon reached in the market he discovered
That 12 1/2% of the peppers were squashed and could not be sold.
At what price he must sell the remaining peppers if he wishes to make a profit of $90.00

so he bought 8 bags of peppers with 60 peppers in each bag...

8 * 60 = 480 peppers

he paid 0.25 for each pepper....so he paid 0.25 * 480 = $ 120

so his expenses = $ 120

so out of his 480 peppers, 12 1/2% (or 12.5%) could not be sold.

12.5% of 480 = 0.125(480) = 60...so 60 could not be sold, leaving him with (480 - 60) = 420 peppers

profit = revenue - expenses

let x = cost of the peppers

420x - 120 = 90

420x = 90 + 120

420x = 210

x = 210/420

x = 0.50 <==== he would have to sell the remaining peppers at $ 0.50 each
