Answer and Explanation:
Most of the processes that take place in land affect the functioning of aquatic environments as all ecosystems are connected in some way and influenced by both the Sun and the Moon.
The Sun warms the land and, at the same time, it warms the ocean and other bodies of water. When this happens, land gets warmer first because it loses heat faster. This influeces the level of heat and the temperature of the air that the ocean will absorb later on. This air temperature will then affect the temperature of the sea surface.
Moreover, all of the currents and waves that we observe in the ocean have an important impact in temperature as one of their roles is to replace warm water with cool water (from the surface to the depths). Therefore, the temperature of land affects the temperature of the ocean and these interactions affect the overall climate.
