Answer:

a. Jake told the negative value of the expression which cannot be equivalent to the original expression.

b. 10 -
$ \frac{\textbf{3}}{\textbf{7}} $ g

Explanation:

a. The given expression is:
$ (-3)/(7)g + 10 $

Multiplying through out by -, we get:

$ - 10 + (3)/(7)g $ which was the expression given by Jake. Since, it is the negative of the original one, they cannot be equivalent.

b.
$ -(3)/(7)g + 10 = 10 - (3)/(7)g $

$ = (70 - 3g)/(7) $

Hence, the answer.
