Read the excerpt from part 2 of "Flowers for Algernon." Later Frank Reilly came over and said Charlie if anybody bothers you or trys to take advantage you call me or Joe and we will set em straight. I said thanks Frank and I got choked up so I had to turn around and go into the supply room so he wouldnt see me cry. Its good to have friends. Based on this excerpt, how are Charlie’s values changing as he deteriorates? He is starting to value health over kindness. He is starting to value intellect over health. He is starting to value honesty over intelligence. He is starting to value kindness over intelligence.

Answer:

He is starting to value kindness over intelligence.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the excerpt given above, charlie is valuing kindness over intelligence because he clearly states that its good to have friends. Frank offered him help of helping him whenever he needed him.

Kindness cannot be beaten by anything. Whatever it is, how cold the person is, kindness eventually takes over the heart.

Therefore the last option He is starting to value kindness over intelligence is the correct one.
