What is the value of x in the equation 13 x-2(8 + 5 x) = 12-11 x?

You first have to distribute the parentheses...(which gives you...)

13x - 16 - 10x = 12 - 11x

Then you put the variables together...(which gives you...)

24x - 16 - 10x = 12

Then you add the rest of the variables... (which gives you)

34x - 16 = 12

After that, you add the "normal" numbers...(which gives you...)

34x = 28

Finally you divide them...(which gives you...)

28 ( 28/34)
