1. Alexios Angelos III is a Byzanite emperor who is known for launching an attack on Constantinople in 1203. The attack was called “the fourth crusade” and it was launched on behalf of Alexios IV Angelos. However due to his mismanagement he was forced to flee the city.
2. The fall of Constantinople is a noteworthy event in 1453. In this event, the Ottoman army lead by Alexios Angelos III captured the capital of the Byzanite Empire. This resulted in the defeat of Constantine XI Palaiologos and the transfer of the capital of the Ottoman Empire to Constantinople.

The collapsing Byzantine empire ended when the Turks broke through the old wall of Constantinople after a 55-day siege.
Mehmed covered Constantinople by land and sea, using cannons to support the continuous barrage of the massive city walls. The city's fall once removed the powerful defence of Christian Europe against the Muslim invasion and enabled Ottoman continuous expansion in Eastern Europe.
11. There was an immense availability of Greek literature which resulted in a change in the intellectual scenario of Italy. A lot of people began to learn Greek language, thus creating a new scene of Italian Renaissance. The fall of Constantinople also lead to more attacks from the Ottoman empire.
