The volume of a rectangular prism is given by,


V = (\textrm {Length}) * (\textrm {Width}) * (\textrm {Height}) .......... (1) and


V = (\textrm {Base Area})* (\textrm {Height}) .......... (2)

Now, the length of the given prism is
(1)/(2) units, width is
(1)/(2) units and the height is
(1)/(2) units.

So. from equation (1) the volume, V =
((1)/(2)) * ((1)/(2)) * ((1)/(2)) = (1)/(8) cubic units.

Now, base area = B =
((1)/(2)) * ((1)/(2)) = (1)/(4) sq. units.

So, from equation (2) we get


V = ((1)/(4)) * ((1)/(2)) = (1)/(8) cubic units. (Answer)
