B doesn't make much sense....u could say x was for girls and y for boys...but u already know how many there are....so I am not sure what the x and y could stand for.

C does't make much sense either....x would have to be red marbles and y would have to be green marbles...but just like B, u already know how many there are....so not sure what x and y could stand for

D. wrong....because the box containing x 7 oz packages and y 12 oz packages.....12x + 7y....for this one to be correct, it would have to have x 12 oz packages and y 7 oz packages
