“Juan se acuesta a las diez de la noche”. “Maria acuesta al bebé a las siete de la noche”. In these two sentences, how come there is a “Se” in the first one but not the second sentence?

In the first one it uses “se” because it’s talking about them selfs and the other one doesn’t because it’s talking about someone doing something for someone else
